08/10/2021- This is the third time that I'm writing this paragraph today and this evening.. Obviously. someone is monitoring my work and editing what they want. I will be asking (or begging) journalists, CNN etc., for a commitment to cover the National Agenda For Black Community Unification. It would be a HUGE boon to be able to communicate your commitment for coverage when asking the pulic for their support and participation. Thank You!
The Wisdom GOD gave to Joseph.
Most of you know the biblical story of Joseph, the hated young boy sold into Egyptian slavery by his envious brothers. Joseph was given the ability to interpret dreams by GOD, which would eventually serve as the reason for Joseph's rise to rulership in Egypt, second only to Pharoah himself. The basis for these interpreted dreams was due to two troubling dreams that hounded Pharoah. Joseph was summoned from the prison dungeon and was dressed and made ready to appear before Pharoah, on the word of a chief butler for whom Joseph had correctly interpreted a dream that restored him to a lost position.
Pharoah's disturbing dreams were as Jospeh correctly conveyed, a seven year famine that would be "very grievous". KJV Genesis Chapter 41. Joseph cautioned-suggested to Pharoah to store up food while it was available and there was time, to offset the following seven years of famine that were to follow. It would behoove America, and other nations that have the ability, to stockplile resources in the event of, what medical experts caution, are the arrival of other pandemics.
America needs to stockpile money in important part, to assist those who are vulnerable to losing homes and apartments via eviction for non-payment. This potential social calamity would have far reaching, devastating effects upon the spiritual, moral, social, financial, and health well-being of the nation, Already, there was a reporting in the news of an elderly landlord being attacked with a knife by a renter whom she asked to move for three years non-payment of rent.
( Reported by Stephanie Casanova Chicago Tribune August 7, 2021).
This was avoidable. Had America been funding what I call, an American Funding Crisis agency, that landlady would have probably notified the agency and a "facilitator" would have delved into the legitimacy of the claim, placed funds in the landlord's hands if found justified, and began the task of negotiation betweeen parties. This would buy time for the renter(s)-mortgagees, and help ward off a pending disaster that if became wide-spread, would cause a downward spiral of the country's well-being, as does water flow down the drain of the kitchen sink. Start such a fund ASAP and please read the below entry for 8/4/21 again. Resistance to take the Covid-19 virus is only adding to this possible monster. We are headed for unprecedented trouble, absent a World War- Military Conflict if we don't act.
I HAVE $150 for such a fund, and will donate income from 4 hours a week to the fund from a part-time job, if my income from this volunteer work is tax exempt. The American Crisis Funding account could be made not for-profit, tax exempt, I hope. Employers who are having staffing problems could use some part-time help from some 20 plus .volunteers. ( If my volunteer work would affect union issues, I would resign). This would be only for emergency funding purposes for those standing to get evicted. WE ARE AT WAR though there are no bullets, bunkers, or bombs.
8/4/21-
America and the rest of the world are living in perilous and trying times. Looming behind the ongoing destruction of the Covid-19 virus, now comes an end to the moratorium on rent and mortgage payments. How frightening if you have no money or employment and have children to feed! Let's try to think through this real life drama. We are starting early enough with prayer, so that maybe by sundown and into tonight, we might have solutions from all over the country. This is serious beyond description. Let's refer to this as American Crisis Funding. Rather than try and write an essay or narrative, I'll just highlight certain points:
1. It would be wonderful if President Biden could extend the Rent-Mortage Payment Moratorium. Can we as Americans provide other "motivatons" toward this hoped for outcome?
2. Millions of people can't make their rent and mortgage payments, but they can pay $40/month into a Crisis Funding pool that could generate trillions of dollars over time and for perpetuity. ..."More than 15 million people live in households that owe as much as $20 billion to their landlords, according to the Aspen Institute. As of July 5, roughly 3.6 million people in the U.S. said they faced eviction in the next two months, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Household Pulse Survey...." (Source: Money. Micheal Casey, Associated Press Published 2:36 p.m. ET July 21, 2021 Updated 8:03pm ET Aug.1,2021)
"Over 11 million families are behind on their rent or mortgage payments: 2.1 million families are behind at least three months on mortgage payments, while 8.8 million are behind on rent." (Source: Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Mar 01,2021).
3. I believe the majority of those behind in rent and mortgage payments can afford to pay $100/month. The high number of 11 million persons in default paying that amount into an American Crisis Funding account woud yield 13 billion, two-hundred eight million dollars-$13, 208,000,000. (Loans from friends and family would be part of this if need be.)
(a). Divide this amount by $7000 which would yield 1,857,172 landlords and mortgage holders that would receive this amount for that 12 month period (compared to what they were receiving during the moratorium).
(b) Americans would open up their wallets like crazy to fund the American Crisis Funding, especially if donations could be written off. ( Bequeaths, concerts, athletic events donated by pro athletes), etc.
(c) Jobs are available. Those who can work must show their gratitude and get out there and help fuel the economy, and to continue to pay their monthly moratoriam installments of $100, which increases slightly at intervals, as your length of time on the job provides you with more disposable income.
4. We need a philanthropist urgently!
"As of 2018, more than 200 million boxes are
sold each cookie selling season for $800 million leaving approximately $600 million in net revenues to the Girl Scouts to be distributed".(Source Wikipedia).
5. This agenda would be finding workers for employers at a time when they need them. I can't imagine the business and corporate worlds not asking their employees to buy a box of American Crisis Funding cookies for themselves or children
(or purchasing them for their employees themselves for Xmas).. There were 150 million workers plus in the U.S . a couple of years ago. ( per www.statistica.com).That's a three-quarters of a billion dollars gimme just waiting for the taking.
6. Logistics is a bear. How to match moratorium recipients to jobs in their area; How much of the fund goes to fund big house notes as opposed to a simple $800/month renter who has fallen behind due to the pandemic ( unless other extenuating circumstances are carefully noted; day care for kids; at what point does the recipient become free of the moratorium;
7.This is not give n' go, put'n take. American Crisis Funding BY, OF and FOR THE PEOPLE can be here to stay for a long, long time- if it's doable. We need a little seed money. Worked overnight and now it's near 2pm. I'm tired- it's your turn.
